ABSTRACT
Pregabalin and Etoricoxib are two drugs used to treat a variety of medical conditions such as epilepsy, depression and osteoarthritis. The present study involved the development and validation of Extractive UV-Vis spectroscopic method for the simultaneous estimation of pregabalin and etoricoxib in a combined dosage form. A series of linearity calibrations were performed with pregabalin and etoricoxib in a concentration range of 5-25?g/mL and 10-50?g/mL respectively. The linearity was achieved with a regression coefficient (R2) of 0.999 and 0.999, respectively. The method was found to be precise and accurate with a low relative standard deviation The UV spectroscopic method developed and validated in this study can be employed in the routine quality control analysis of pregabalin and etoricoxib in bulk drugs and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The method is simple, economical, rapid and accurate and can be successfully employed for the estimation of pregabalin and etoricoxib in tablet dosage form.
